GRADE 8 AND 9 – WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
Grades 8 and 9 conducted an insightful assembly on World Mental Health Day, highlighting the importance of emotional well-being and open communication. Through an interactive session, students discussed managing stress, expressing feelings, and supporting one another with empathy. They also demonstrated simple deep-breathing exercises to promote calmness and focus. The programme encouraged everyone to prioritise mental health and foster a caring, supportive school environment.

ONLINE ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION
Participating in the Immerse Education online essay competition was a wonderful learning experience. I wrote my essay on mesenchymal cells and their future applications, a topic that truly sparked my curiosity. The workbook provided helped me plan and structure my ideas effectively. After submitting my essay, I was thrilled to be invited to a webinar that further enriched my understanding. This opportunity—and the certificate I received—means a lot to me and has boosted my confidence for my future academic journey.

CMC 125th ANNIVERSARY QUIZ
Our talented team—Harshita James and Jithish Ranjith Kumar of Grade AS, and Yeldho Chako of Grade 8—reached CMC Nursing College early and ready for the challenge. Though the chilly morning and initial nerves tested them, their spirit stayed strong.
After a quick snack, the quiz began with energetic knockout rounds, including fun activities like dumb charades and rapid-fire questions. The team stayed focused and even took the lead by the end of the knockouts.
As the rounds grew tougher, they continued to give their best, showing excellent teamwork and resilience. They narrowly missed first place but proudly secured second position—an outstanding achievement.
It was a proud moment for all three students and for Springdays International School, reflecting dedication, confidence, and a love for learning beyond the classroom.

CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION
A valuable Career Counselling Session was organised for parents and students of Grades 8 to 11. The session was led by Ms. Eshwari, an experienced career counsellor, who guided students on exploring their strengths, interests, and future goals.
She introduced the Six Thinking Hats technique, explaining how this method helps students analyse career choices from multiple perspectives—creative, logical, emotional, and critical. Parents and students were encouraged to apply this strategy to make informed decisions about subject selection and long-term academic pathways.
To further support career planning, Ms. Eshwari shared a career interest form designed to help students identify suitable fields of study and potential career opportunities. She also assured participants that additional sessions, including one-on-one counselling and profile-building opportunities, would be conducted to provide personalised guidance for every learner.

PROJECT DAY - LEARNING SHOWCASE
Our school successfully hosted Project Day – now known as the Learning Showcase, offering students an exciting platform to demonstrate creativity, innovation, and collaborative learning across multiple subjects. The event highlighted meaningful exploration and hands-on engagement as students presented projects connected to real-world concepts.
The Science Working Models were a major attraction, featuring experiments, simple machines, and environmental innovations that reflected students’ problem-solving abilities and scientific curiosity.
The Language Displays brought creativity to life through storyboards, character analyses, vocabulary exhibits, and interactive games that celebrated communication and expression.
At the Math Corner, students applied mathematical concepts through puzzles, models, geometric art, and data displays—making learning both logical and enjoyable.
The Global Perspectives Spot encouraged learners to explore global issues such as sustainability, cultural diversity, and responsible decision-making through well-researched presentations.
The Business Studies Point showcased young entrepreneurs and their mini business models, marketing strategies, cost analyses, and product displays, helping students understand real-world commerce. Students even prepared and sold quesadillas, mojitos, and pani puris—earning an impressive profit.
Project Day truly reflected our school’s commitment to future readiness, empowering students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and express their ideas with confidence. It was an inspiring and enriching experience that celebrated innovation, knowledge, and student excellence across Grades 6 to 11.

DIWALI CELEBRATION
The school celebrated Diwali with great joy and cultural spirit. The event began with the traditional Lighting of the Kuthuvilakku, followed by a lively welcome song and dance that set a festive tone. Colourful group performances, a creative ramp walk, and a slogan-writing competition added excitement while promoting messages of eco-friendly celebration.
In her address, the Principal highlighted the true essence of Diwali—kindness, gratitude, and harmony. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, marking a radiant and meaningful Diwali filled with unity, joy, and positivity.

Students of Grades 6 and 7 presented a thoughtful assembly in honour of the International Day of Non-Violence, celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of peace, unity, and respect. Through speeches and role-plays, they highlighted the importance of resolving conflicts with empathy and understanding. The programme reminded everyone that non-violence begins in daily life—through kind words, compassion, and dignity. Their performance beautifully inspired harmony within our school community.

ALL ABOUT INDIA QUIZ
Springdays International School recently conducted an All About India Quiz to enhance students’ knowledge of the nation’s rich history, geography, politics, and current affairs. The event aimed to deepen awareness of India’s culture and traditions while also testing students’ quick thinking. The quiz covered diverse topics such as physical features, cultural diversity, natural resources, environment, festivals, literature, heritage sites, famous personalities, and national symbols. It encouraged healthy competition and broadened perspectives beyond textbook learning. Students participated with enthusiasm, confidence, and curiosity to learn more about the country. The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Niruthya and Ms. Kavitha.

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO OOTY – 13th -17th September
The educational trip to Ooty was designed as an immersive learning experience connecting classroom concepts to the real world. Students explored themes of geography, environmental science, and cultural studies through firsthand observation and inquiry. At the Tea and Chocolate Factories, they learned about production processes, trade, and sustainability, linking economic concepts to everyday life. The Tribal Museum deepened their understanding of social diversity and encouraged respect for indigenous cultures, while visits to Doddabetta Hill Station, Pykara Falls, and the Pine Forest promoted environmental awareness and reflection on conservation.
Group activities such as the campfire and team tasks fostered collaboration, empathy, and shared responsibility. Throughout the journey, students demonstrated curiosity, discipline, and engagement—observing, questioning, and connecting their experiences to academic learning. The trip became more than just recreation; it served as a celebration of responsible exploration and active engagement, key hallmarks of the Cambridge learner profile.

ACADEMIC CELEBRATIONS - 1st – 12th September
At Springdays, learning is celebrated not only through events but also through academic milestones. The term examinations were envisioned as a celebration of understanding—a time for students to reflect on their learning journey and demonstrate mastery of concepts across languages, sciences, mathematics, and social studies. Each exam offered an opportunity for students to showcase critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective time management—key traits of responsible learners. In preparation, students engaged in peer discussions, revision workshops, and self-assessment exercises, fostering a sense of ownership in their learning. Teachers supported them with personalized feedback and motivation, ensuring a positive and growth-focused experience. Examination halls reflected discipline and integrity, encouraging students to perform with sincerity and confidence. This academic experience went far beyond grades, strengthening perseverance, accountability, and reflection—the true marks of Cambridge learners who are responsible in their approach and deeply engaged in their pursuit of excellence.

EFE - VISIT TO THE KANNAN SODA FACTORY
Students of Grades 6–8 had a wonderful learning experience during their Experiential Field Education (EFE) visit to Kannan Soda Factory. Guided by Mr. Vel Murugan, Head of Quality, they observed each step of soda production—from water purification and mixing of ingredients to carbonation, bottling, and packaging. They were accompanied by Ms. Sushma (Biology Teacher), Ms. Sudha (Chemistry Teacher), and Mr. Mohan (PT Staff). The highlight of the trip was tasting freshly prepared soda, making the experience both fun and memorable. This visit helped learners connect classroom concepts with real-world applications, sparking curiosity and deepening their understanding of science in everyday life.

Jigsaw Online Competition
Springdays International School proudly participated in the HCL Jigsaw Online Competition, an All-India platform designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity among students. The competition was open to Grades 8 and 9, and six students were selected to represent the school in Round 2. From Grade 8, Jude, Sai Varshini, Vis, and Yeldo showcased their analytical and reasoning skills, while Kavin Vijayanand, Mohammed Shafaz, and Dhekshitha represented Grade 9 with equal enthusiasm and determination. Their participation reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing higher-order thinking skills and preparing students to face real-world challenges with innovation and confidence.

Springdays International School conducted a Spell Bee competition to promote vocabulary and spelling skills. Three students represented the school with confidence and enthusiasm—Adhithiya from Grade 8, and Pio and Francina from Grade 7. Their participation showcased strong linguistic ability, focus, and a spirit of healthy competition.

Teachers’ Day Celebration
The Teacher’s Day celebration at our school was filled with joy, gratitude, and fun. The program was smoothly hosted by Jithish (AS Level) and Adhithiya (Grade 8), who set a warm and enthusiastic tone. The highlights included a lively quiz for teachers and an entertaining game of Passing the Parcel, where each teacher unwrapped a gift and completed the challenge inside. An exciting treasure hunt brought laughter and energy to the event. Students showcased their talents through a graceful dance performance and a melodious song dedicated to their teachers, while a humorous skit by Grades 7 and 8 added a touch of lightheartedness. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt poem beautifully presented by Jithish and Adhithiya, truly reflecting the respect, love, and admiration students hold for their mentors.

‘AS’ excelled this September with outstanding dedication and spirit. The class demonstrated responsibility by completing tasks on time, maintaining discipline, and showing consistent effort in academics. Their teamwork and enthusiasm in various activities reflected a positive and cooperative attitude. With perseverance and focus, AS students set a strong example for others to follow. We are proud to recognize ‘AS’ as the Best Class of the Month for September and look forward to their continued growth and excellence in the coming months.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY - 2025
Springdays International School celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and energy. The event began with a spectacular March Past, where students showcased perfect coordination, discipline, and team spirit. This was followed by a series of thrilling track and field events, including the 100m, 200m, and relay races, which highlighted students’ speed and endurance. Participants also demonstrated their skills in football, carrom, and throw ball, while the shot put and discus throw events emphasized strength and precision. The day was filled with healthy competition, loud cheers, and constant encouragement, reflecting the true spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork, and making it a memorable celebration of athletic talent.

Eco club
The Eco and Sustainability Club, under the theme “Reimagine Waste – Create, Innovate, Sustain,” encouraged learners to transform waste into useful and decorative products, fostering creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness. Students of Grades 6 and 7 showcased impressive innovation by making eco-friendly photo frames from waste paper, reusing plastic bottles as planters, and converting paper cups into attractive plant holders. Learners of Grades 8 and 9 amazed the audience with stylish tote bags crafted from old clothes, while students of Grades 10 and 11 impressed with a stunning decorative wall hanging made from waste wires, ribbons, and paper. Guided by their in-charge teachers, Mrs. Sushma Rao and Ms. Sudha S, this memorable event reminded everyone that sustainability begins with small, thoughtful actions.
